• The first Carlisle Sling Library meet was on 4th July 2015, with 7 slings available for hire.
• The library gradually grew and in  2017 became a Community Interest Company run by 7 directors with almost 100 slings.
• We now have meets twice a month in Carlisle and once a month in Penrith.
• Our volunteers are trained to either peer support or sling consultant level with many years of experience combined between them.
• We have received grants from Cumbria County Council and The National Lottery.
